We provide employment & training in packaging, kindling production, rag cutting and commercial & domestic garden maintenance. Currently we provide employment for 27 adults with 4 full time staff and an administration officer.
Monkami Centre Inc. as our parent body, established the supported employment arm of Olinda Creek House & Garden to augment their ATSS day training centre in Croydon. This outlet was established in 1985 to create and provide employment opportunities for people with a disability. Originally Olinda Creek House & Garden operated from a small shop front in Lilydale by the Olinda Creek. We saw a need for greater supported employment in the area and expanded and moved to larger factory premises.
We changed our name to easternOUTSOURCE in 2005 as, being an outsource of labour, felt this reflected the core of our business more accurately. In 2006 we established our cleaning cloth supply business MELBOURNE RAGS. This initiative has grown in leaps & bounds, with rags supplied all over the state.
